I am delighted that you have found my blog and wanted to know more about me. I am first and foremost a child of God. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior as a child and have followed Him ever since. My relationship with God is the foundation of my life. In this blog, I will share what God is doing in my life and the lesssons He is teaching me. I will also share my passions and interests.
I have been been blessed with a wonderful family. I have an awesome husband, Steve. The picture above is Steve and me in Alaska in 2011 celebrating our 3oth anniversary. We met in high school and got married one week after graduating from college nearly 35 years ago now. We have three grown sons, two daughter-in-laws, and 5 grandchildren, all toddlers and preschoolers. Between us we have four brothers and four sisters. We also have sixteen nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
My wonderful parents celebrated their 60th anniversary on Christmas Eve. Six short weeks later, my mother suddenly and unexpectedly departed this Earth. We were shocked and saddened by her death, yet we rejoice knowing that we will be reunited with her one day in Heaven.
I am currently employed as a business consultant. I am also a writer of Christian fiction. My first novel, Restorations, was published in 2010. Reconciliations was published in 2011. I have been working on the third novel in my Restored Hearts series, to be called Revelations, for quite some time now. Life, and especially grandchildren, have taken up much of my time. I am committed to finishing it in the near future.
Prior to my current occupation, I taught high school math, founded and operated a church-based preschool, home schooled our sons for eight years, and owned a pizza restaurant. Outside of work, I have volunteered for the past 37 years as a teacher in our church’s Girls Ministries program. I am passionately about teaching girls that God has a wonderful plan for their lives and helping them to fulfill God’s plan for their lives.
